Is a Venezuelan violist who studied music in the Youth Orchestra System of his country. He then went on to continue studying at the European Mozart Academy in Germany and Poland. He took courses in viola with Nobuko Imai,Sergue Collot and Gerard Caussé with whom he performed as a soloist.

He played as a soloist with the major symphony orchestras in his country and also with the Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, the National Orchestra of Panama, the Rodhanien Philharmonic Orchestra of France, the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Porto and the Gulbenkian Orchestra. He has given recitals in Argentina, Chile and Costa Rica and in Europe, in Italy, Spain, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany, Norway and the United Kingdom. He was the first viola soloist in the Lara Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela and was selected to play first viola with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Galicia. He has participated in festivals in the United States with the Pan American Festival Orchestra and in Puerto Rico with the Americas Music Festival Orchestra.

Since 1966 he has lived in Portugal, where he was the viola soloist of the Northern Orchestra. In 1999 he won the first prize in the Júlio Cardona competition in Covilhã and recorded two CDs with duets for violin and viola by Mozart, Martinú and Villa-Lobos. In Lisbon he performed the complete Sonatas for viola and piano of Brahms and Hindemith and played with various quartets and chamber orchestras. He was invited to perform as viola soloist with the Gulbenkian Orchestra in the 2005-2006 season, and at various concerts of the National Orchestra of Porto. He received the title of Music Specialist at the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute and in 2013 and 2014 he was the Gulbenkian training tutor for orchestra and professor of the fourth Steinen Course for Strings (Germany).

He is currently the first viola soloist of the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra at the São Carlos National Theatre and teaches at the Lisbon Higher School of Music. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Camerata Atlântica.
